Q1) Do I have to have a High School Diploma to attend Broken Arrow Beauty College or Cosmetology Education Center and what proof is required?
A1) Yes, a High School Diploma or a GED is required for admission as well as for Federal Financial Aid. You will need a copy of your High School Diploma, a transcript from your high school showing a graduation date, or a copy of your GED certificate. A diploma from a college for a Bachelor's or Associate Degree is also acceptable. A Home school Diploma is also allowed with the right documentation, contact the admissions office for more information.
Q2) What if my diploma is from another country?
A2) The diploma must be the equivalent of a high school diploma in the United States. It is required that this be evaluated by an outside evaluation company. The cost of this evaluation, usually $85 - $125, is the responsibility of the student applicant. The evaluation must be completed before the student will be allowed to enroll and begin classes.

Q4) Do you accept Transfer Hours?
A4) Yes, we will accept hours on record with the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology & Barbering, for up to one-half the hours required for the course. i.e. Cosmo--750 hours, Esthetics and Manicurist--300 hours, Master Instructor--500 hours
Q5) Do you enroll students for Review Hours?
A5) Yes, we enroll students who are required by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology & Barbering to complete review hours in order to take the State Board Licensing Examination. Federal Financial Aid is not available for Review Hours.
Q6) Are you approved for Veteran's Educational Benefits?
A6) Yes, Both campuses are approved for Veteran Training benefits.
Q7) When do classes start?
A7) Basic Cosmetology Day classes start Monthly, Evenings twice each year.
Esthetics classes, Days 3 times yearly per campus, Evenings twice each year.
Manicuring classes start 2-3 times yearly (Only offered at the Broken Arrow campus)
Instructor classes-schedule varies-consult the admissions department at the campus you wish to attend.

Q8) What are the hours (schedules) for Day classes, Evening classes?
A8) Full-time Day classes: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday
Part-time Evening classes: 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm Monday – Friday
Closed Saturday and Sunday
Q9) How do I get enrolled for school?
A9) Complete the FAFSA, if you will be applying for Federal Financial Aid.
Make an appointment with Admissions at the campus you wish to attend
Bring the following to your appointment--High School diploma, GED or transcript with graduation date, and Driver's License or Birth Certificate. A $75.00 application fee will be required before your enrollment is complete.

A10) Yes, we accept Pell Grants & Direct Student Loans for qualified students.
Q11) How do I apply for Federal Financial Aid?
A11) Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete the current application. Enter our school code, 015930. The school will receive an electronic copy within 3-5 business days after completion.
Q12) What is Pivot Point and how does it help me?
A12) Pivot Point is a unique training method that is licensed to select schools in each geographic area and it has a different approach to teaching you CosmetologyEstheticsManicuring or Master Instructor Training. Pivot Point focuses on comprehension for all types of students regardless of their learning style. It uses a multi-sensory approach to training that has proven to have better results than other training systems available.

A13) Professional Cosmetology kit includes CHI Tool kit with Chi Touch2 dryer, CHI G2 flat iron, Andis clipper set, Shark Fin shears, brushes, combs, clips, apron, cape, perm rods, rollers, color bowl and brushes, manicure tools, 9 mannequins, and many more items.
Q14) How many students do you enroll per class?
A14) We prefer smaller class sizes. Up to 20 cosmetology students per start date. Up to 10 Esthetics and 10 Manicurist per start date. Although depending on time of year a class size could be smaller.

A15) Cosmetology part time 74 weeks
Cosmetology full time 48 weeks
Esthetics part time 30 weeks
Esthetics full time 19 weeks
Manicurist full time 19 weeks
Instructor full time 29 weeks
Q16) Do you offer job placement.
A16) Yes, while we can't guarantee a job or salary we will help you identify job opportunities. We have several employers who call looking for stylist, manicurist and estheticians and many visit our school and talk to students before they graduate.

A17) The schools use a variety of professional products like CHI, Morrocan Oil, ColorProof, Design Essentials, Keune, Paul Mitchell, OPI, Smashbox Cosmetics, and others.
