Broken Arrow Beauty College first opened the doors for classes in February of 1969, operated under several individual owners until it was purchased by the current family in 1983.
At the time there were only 11 students enrolled in the cosmetology program.
The school was originally located on Main Street in Broken Arrow, but the space was small and was quickly outgrown as the class sizes and flow of students increased. After 19 years on Main Street the college made the move to it’s current location on Elm Place near the Rose District in July of 1988.
Broken Arrow beauty college has grown a lot in the nearly 50 years that we have been offering beauty education, and in 1985 we became the first Pivot Point School in Oklahoma. The fusion of a business education designed specifically for students, with our curriculum designed with the foundations of secondary education was just the beginning of Broken Arrow’s rapid increase in enrollment.
Cosmetology Education Center, Tulsa
By 2003 the demand for enrollment at BABC had grown significantly, with wait lists getting longer and space becoming more and more restricted; we had an idea.
A second location was the answer, and in 2004 that became a reality!
Our Tulsa location was purchased in early 2004 and opened for business in May. The Cosmetology Education Center has grown steadily and in the 13 years it has been open has produced many classes of highly trained professionals.
The last of the expansion of the Broken Arrow campus was finished in December of 2010 and the school has experienced steady growth in the years following.
