A Pivot Point Education
As a Pivot Point member school, we are able to offer a unique curriculum created to help students solidify skills and techniques while developing their business skills. Our basic cosmetology program is broken into modules that focus on specific cosmetology techniques from hair color, cutting, to texture. As students master each technique, they are able to practice those skills on the student salon floor.
Being able to develop skills on the salon floor is so valuable to prepare for a career! Students can grow in their abilities while practicing customer service and start building their own clientele. Some of our students are able to graduate with loyal clients from their time at the student salon!
Our goal is to have students graduate feeling prepared to start their careers in the beauty industry. Each of our programs include education about the business side of working in a salon. Students can learn about how to build clientele, salon finances, how to prepare for a commission based salon, and more.
We focus on helping our students get ready to sit for the state exam. Our curriculum includes two mock state board exams as well as state test preparation two times a week. We want to see each student graduate, become a licensed cosmetologist, and pursue a rewarding career in beauty!
