What Is Cosmetology?

Cosmetology is a profession full of creativity and opportunity, but before you make any decisions about becoming a cosmetologist, it’s important that you know exactly what cosmetology is and exactly what the job entails!

The Dictionary Definition

According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of cosmetology is, “the cosmetic treatment of the skin, hair, and nails.”

What Cosmetology Means to Us

We believe that cosmetology is much more than the definition above. We witness first-hand the hard work, passion and talent that the world of cosmetology holds. Therefore, we would never reduce the definition of cosmetology down to such simplistic terms.
