What to Know as Broken Arrow Beauty College Reopens
At Broken Arrow Beauty College, we’re excited to open up our salon to the public again! It was amazing to see our team come together to prepare an online education, but there’s nothing like seeing our students practicing what they’ve learned in our student salon. While we can’t wait to see all our clients in-person again, it’s important you know about some adjustments we’ve made before coming in for your appointment.
All of these changes will help us follow the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) so everyone feels safe when they visit us. To help you prepare, we’ve explained everything you need to be aware of so you can safely get that new hairstyle you’ve been wanting for months!
What to Know Before Coming to Our Salon
The safety of our students, clients, and staff members is our number one priority. So to make sure we’re doing all we can to help everyone feel comfortable during their appointment, please make you follow these three rules before entering our salon:
- 1. Don’t come to your appointment if you’re sick. No one is allowed to enter if they have a fever and you’ll need to answer some questions to ensure you feel well enough for an appointment. If you are sick, call us and we’d be happy to help you reschedule.
- 2. Come by yourself. Any friends or family members who do not have an appointment will need to wait outside if they come with you.
- 3. If you feel more comfortable with a mask on please bring one to your appointment. If you would like the student to wear one for your comfort, just let us know and we definitely will.
We’re grateful for the amazing clients we have and appreciate their willingness to help us keep everyone healthy. If you have any questions about these requirements, we’d be happy to talk more about it with you!
Will I Need to Wear a Mask During My Appointment?
It is no longer required by the guideline but if it makes you more comfortable, feel free to wear a mask. If you would like the student to wear one for your comfort, just let us know and we definitely will. While we’ll do our best to not get hair color or other products on your mask, it’s best to bring a disposable face mask that wraps around your ears during your appointment. If you don’t want to risk ruining your own mask, we have disposable ones you can purchase for $1.
What Can I Expect From an Appointment?
Both our students and instructors are still committed to giving clients an amazing salon experience with high-quality beauty results! The only difference now is that we’re cleaning our equipment and work areas even more than usual and taking fewer appointments to make sure there’s enough room for clients to maintain social distancing rules. Since we are limiting the number of available chairs in our salon, you may need to call further in advance when setting up your appointment. We’ll do everything we can to work with your schedule and get you into our salon as quickly as we can!
Other Tips When Visiting Our Salon
We are thrilled to open our salon again and it’s important to us that we’re able to keep it open by doing our best to maintain healthy practices. Our students and staff members are dedicated to doing everything they can to help clients stay healthy. If you’re coming into our salon, we ask you to do the same for the safety of our beauty family. Here are some tips for how we can protect yourself and others so you can continue to come here for all your beauty needs:
- Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
- Keep the social distancing guidelines set by our salon chairs.
- If you feel more comfortable with a mask on please bring one to your appointment. The student performing your beauty service can also wear a mask if you prefer .
- Stay home when sick.
- Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing.
We appreciate our Broken Arrow College family and their commitment to keeping our salon a safe space.
